Greenpeace France launched a petition to stop the overconsumption of animal proteins in schools. The first objective is to ask French President Emmanuel Macron to introduce two veggie meals per week at school as a national policy.

A secondary aim of the petition is to reduce meat & dairy lobbies’ influence over decisions that are made about school meals. Today, some lobbyists even come to classes to convince children that they need to eat animal proteins to be healthy.

Finally, the petition asks for more organic products in meals, with no chemical additives. That’s why it is so important to lower meat consumption: it can provide an additional budget to buy better organic, plant-based products.
